Our Journey: From Orphanage to National Movement

Founded by two visionaries in 1980 in Jessore by:

Sheikh Akij Uddin – Visionary industrialist and philanthropist
Professor Sharif Hossain – Renowned educationist.

Today, under the leadership of Dr. Sheikh Mohiuddin, Executive Director of the Ad-din Foundation, it has grown into a comprehensive platform for medical education, healthcare services, women’s empowerment, and community development.

Bashundhara Ad-din Medical College (BAMC) – Innovation Through Partnership

Located in Dhaka’s Maghbazar area, AWMC is a trailblazer in women’s medical education.

Established in 2013 through a landmark collaboration with the Bashundhara Group, BAMC is situated in South Keraniganj, Dhaka.
This institution merges academic excellence with high-impact healthcare services for surrounding communities.

Ad-din Akij Medical College (AAMC) – Excellence in the Southwest

In the heart of Khulna, Ad-din Akij Medical College—named in honor of Sheikh Akij Uddin—has been serving since 2013.
With advanced facilities and a commitment to rural and urban health alike, AAMC combines rigorous academics with a strong focus on community service.

Ad-din Sakina Medical College (ASMC) – A Sanctuary for Women’s Education

Founded in 2012 in Pulerhat, Jessore, ASMC provides a safe and empowering space for women to pursue careers in medicine.
With over 700 students, 100 faculty members, and a full-fledged hospital complex, it’s one of the nation’s top institutions for female medical education.
Affiliated with Rajshahi University and recognized by BMDC and WHO, ASMC symbolizes Ad-din’s unwavering commitment to female empowerment through education.
